Nazgul Shekekova, MBA

Consultant with more than 20 years of experience in strategic management and marketing, sales and startups. Nazgul founded three companies in advertising, furniture and business training. She received her MBA at Mannheim Business School (Germany), had business internships in the USA and the Czech Republic. She implemented projects on business model development, strategy, and new product launch in Kyrgyzstan and Germany. Nazgul has consulted more than 100 companies in various sectors of Kyrgyzstan on strategic marketing, sales management, and business strategy. She is fluent in Kyrgyz, Russian, English and German.
Maral Sagynalieva
Sustainable Development Consultant
Maral Sagynalieva is a policy expert and independent researcher on sustainable development. She holds an MA in International Political Economy from York University, UK (2020) and an MA in Public Policy from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, Japan (2013). She is currently working part-time at the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic as a PhD candidate in economics on "Rural and International Development in terms of Social and Environmental Implications". Maral is an environmental and social expert with experience in many international projects. From 2021-2023, she worked as a national coordinator of the FAO project and a policy expert on the Biosafety Mechanism/Cartagena Protocol for the Kyrgyz Republic. She conducted an environmental and social assessment of a local power plant operator with nine small hydropower plants (SHPPs) in accordance with the EBRD Environmental and Social Guidelines for Hydropower Projects (2016) and the EBRD Environmental and Social Policy (2019). She has a number of publications on the development of organic agriculture, socio-economic development, ecological modernization, etc. Maral speaks Kyrgyz, English, and Russian.
Ulan Ashiraliev, MBA
Finance Consultant
An experienced financial management consultant, Ulan has over 15 years of experience in banking and microfinance institutions. He worked as a consultant on the World Bank project on lending. Developed more than 50 business plans for companies in various sectors to obtain funding from international financial institutions. He has been involved in setting up management accounting and control in many private companies and lending institutions. Ulan has experience in risk management and expertise in software used in financial sector. Ulan graduated from the Manas University and received an MBA from the Academy of Management under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. He is fluent in Kyrgyz, Russian, English, and Turkish.
Thomas Philippou
Energy Efficiency Consultant
Mr. Philippou is an experienced international consultant in the fields of resource saving in industry and private or public buildings, energy audits according to the European standard EN-16247 as well as the development of RES projects (photovoltaic / solar / thermal / wind / biomass), design, construction supervision and acting as an engineer by the lender. Thomas also has extensive knowledge of energy management systems and the development of ISO 50001. He has implemented projects in many countries around the world including the Central Asian region (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan). Thomas holds a master's degree in energy from Heriot-Watt University, UK. Thomas is a certified engineering trainer with extensive experience in conducting EE/RES trainings in buildings and industry, and has developed training materials for various EE/RES trainings. He is fluent in English, Greek and French.
